Crain’s: Sedgwick planning $350 million development for Uptown

The proposals keep on coming. From Crain’s Chicago Business:

Sedgwick Properties Development Corp., led by Marty Paris, hopes to break ground this year on the first phase of a three-tower project near Montrose Harbor that would have about 850 residences including senior housing, a full-line grocery store and fitness center and a 200-room hotel. The three condo and apartment towers, to be built over five years, would stand 20 to 45 stories tall.

The project, called Lake View Station, is planned along Clarendon Avenue between Montrose and Sunnyside avenues, site of two old hospital buildings that Sedgwick bought in 2008, according to Crain’s. The first phase of the project will be a two-story retail building and parking garage, which Sedgwick wants to lease to a grocery store and health club. Following that, Sedgwick plans to build a 20-story, 150-unit tower.

Sedgwick’s most recent projects have been down in the South Loop. The Marquee high-rise at 1464 S Michigan Ave is still working its way toward sellout, but closings still have not begun at the Terrazio midrise at 1935 S Wabash Ave.
