1111 S. Wabash awarded Gold Key Award

The Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago awarded a Gold Key Award to the Gammonley Group and Riha Design Group for a model interior at 1111 S. Wabash, a new 34-story highrise in the South Loop.

The awards for excellence in housing design were presented in October at the 32nd annual Key Awards, the “Academy Awards” of the local home building industry.

“Eleven eleven S. Wabash is a luxury building in a great downtown location, and the interior designs of our models were created to cater to the urban dweller,” said Richard Gammonley, vice president of The Gammonley Group, developer of 1111 S. Wabash.

Residence 2310, a two-bedroom, two-bath design with 1,162 square feet of living space, features a neutral décor with cool blue accents throughout. The living room has blond hardwood flooring, cream walls and comfortable furnishings accented by bright blues in the curtains, dining chairs and artwork. The blue theme is carried through the residence with custom painting in the kitchen and luxury bedding and window treatments in each of the bedrooms.

Sales have passed the 80 percent mark at the development, according to Deborah Chiet, director of sales and marketing for the Gammonley Group. Around 10 penthouses and 45 other units, with prices starting under $300,000, remain for sale.
