Emerald's hot kitchen

Here’s a photo of the kitchen at the new Emerald development. (Click on the image – I caved to pressure from my male colleagues, who were outraged at my earlier Emerald posting). The finishes of the units, including the kitchen, are by Chicago designer John Robert Wiltgen.These laminated kitchen cabinets are an upgrade from standard wood, and also come in red, beige and white (representing the four seasons).Wiltgen dreamed up the colors and had them specially mixed. I dunno, they seem like the kind of thing you could get sick of in six months’ time. What I wouldn’t get sick of, however, is the TV that comes standard in every bathroom. Is that the new thing? Interestingly, standard countertops will be stainless steel, instead of the usual granite, which also is available.
