We thought we had headed into the real estate sleepy season, but apparently not. A few developers are opening their sales doors hoping for a little action before everyone goes into hibernation. Notably, Centrum Properties will open sales at The Lofts at Roosevelt Collection on Thursday, Nov 16 at 709 S Clark St from 5pm to 8pm. RSVPs (312-588-1688) were apparently due yesterday, but perhaps they still wanna hear from people. The development is part of Centrum’s massive mixed-use project located on 14 acres bounded by Roosevelt Road, 9th Street, Wells Street and the Metra tracks in the South Loop.
The “loft” component contains 350 one- to three-bedroom new-construction units priced from the high-$200s to the mid-$500s. First occupancy is scheduled for fall 2008. We’re excited about the Roosevelt Collection overall, which will include a couple of high-rises, retail, restaurants and a cinema. Centrum’s Jennifer Arons told us in a recent interview that the development would “be very a la Michigan Avenue; a lot of boutiques from the middle to the high end.”
