3510 North Pine Grove is a 5-story, 112-unit contemporary elevator building in the Lakeview East neighborhood steps from Lake Shore Drive. It was built in 1971.

The apartments

3510 North Pine Grove has a mix of studio and 1-bedroom apartments. Floor plans and near real-time availability are online.

A number of the apartments have been upgraded with wood-look floors. The apartments have baseboard heat and through-the-wall air-conditioning units.

Kitchens and baths have been updated in a variety of finishes.

One-bedroom apartments have a separate dining area and spacious bedrooms.

Amenities, services, policies

3510 North Pine Grove, like most buildings of its type, has limited common amenities.

There is an on-site laundry room. Assigned covered parking is available on-site, a feature that’s scarce in the neighborhood. Cats are welcome; dogs aren’t.

The location

3510 North Pine Grove’s Lakeview East location near the periphery of Wrigleyville and Boystown affords residents good proximity to everything those neighborhoods have to offer. There’s a pedestrian underpass nearby to access Lincoln Park and the lakefront.

Shopping. 3510 North Pine Grove residents have good access to grocery shopping.

Jewel-Osco and Treasure Island are a block away on Broadway.

Whole Foods is three and a half blocks northwest on Halsted.

There are Target, Marshalls and Bed Bath and Beyond locations nearby for residents setting up housekeeping.

National retail chains, however, are a minor presence in the neighborhood, which draws its dominant character from a variety of locally-owned and quirky smaller shops.

Dining, nightlife, entertainment. Whatever you have a taste for is hyper-abundantly available within a short walk.

Finding a regular breakfast spot is the first order of dining business for many, and 3510 North Pine Grove residents will find Waffles Café to the north on Broadway and local favorite Ann Sather two short blocks south on Broadway. If coffee and munchies suffice, there are several Starbucks locations within a short walk.

Wrigleyville, a few short blocks west, is a dense bar and restaurant destination for Cubs fans, and sports bars are everywhere.

The Broadway strip, a block west of the building, serves up everything from fast food to Thai to burgers to Irish pubs.

The Halsted Street / Boystown scene, two blocks west, has dozens of straight, gay and lesbian bars, nightclubs and retail shops.

There are nearly two dozen theaters within walking distance of 3510 North Pine Grove in the Belmont Theater District, and dozens more venues for live music performances.

Neighborhood street festivals and fairs are a great source of entertainment in the summer. Events near 3510 North Pine Grove include – to name a few – Northalsted Market Days, the Lakeview East Festival of the Arts, Wrigleyville Summerfest, SausageFest, the Chicago Marathon and, of course, Pride Week.

The websites for the Lakeview Citizens Council and the Lakeview and Lakeview East Chambers of Commerce are a good source to learn about upcoming events.

Parks, recreation. 3510 North Pine Grove residents have convenient access to public parks and recreational activities.

The 1,200-acre Lincoln Park, one of the great public spaces in America, is a block east of 3510 North Pine Grove. At this point in the park you’ll find a playground, the 9-hole Sydney Marovitz golf course, tennis courts and ball fields and a picnic field.

Lincoln Park has almost every recreational amenity imaginable, from an archery range to a great zoo.

Transportation. 3510 North Pine Grove has good access to public transportation.

A variety of CTA bus routes traverse the area. The #36 Broadway bus, a block west, travels into the Loop. The #152 bus, a block north, connects to the CTA Red Line stop at Addison for travel south to the Loop or north to Evanston. The Addison Red Line stop is about a 10-minute walk from the property.

3510 North Pine Grove residents have a 2-minute walk to the #146 CTA bus stop on Lake Shore Drive. The 146 runs express to the 900 Shops, anchored by Bloomingdale’s, on Michigan Avenue’s Magnificent Mile, and then on to the Loop.

Lake Shore Drive is a short distance away. There’s a pedestrian underpass just north of Addison (3600 N) but the nearest vehicle access is via Belmont Ave (3200 N) or Irving Park Rd (4000 N). Crosstown access to I-90/94 and the city’s expressway grid is inconvenient from this location, and can be time-consuming before and after Cubs’ games.

Zipcar car-sharing locations and DIVVY bike stations are nearby.
