Moment is a mixed-use community on a site fronting McClurg Ct between Grand Ave and Ohio St at 545 N McClurg Ct. The project’s address was formerly listed as 410 E Grand Ave.
Moment has 490 apartment units in a 45-story tower with office space and ground-level retail.
The development will provide 290 parking spaces. The building will have amenities on the 9th and 45th floors, with an outdoor rooftop pool.
The widest portion of the tower lies on an east-west axis along Grand Ave to minimize its impact on views from Atwater.
Pre-leasing at Moment began in April 2016 and occupancies are slated for summer 2016.
Moment will have studio, convertible, 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom floor plans.
Units will feature floor-to-ceiling windows with custom shades, grey-tone plank flooring, in-unit washer / dryers and walk-in closets with custom shelving. Some units will include balconies.
Kitchens will have quartz countertops, Kitchenaid stainless steel appliances, undermount sinks, marble mosaic backsplashes and espresso cabinetry with glossy white duotone options.
Bathrooms include porcelain tile floors and quartz countertops.
The density that makes Moment’s location attractive limits its views, but many of the apartments will have great views.
The building will have good southeast and southwest views. Views in other directions will be blocked by other surrounding high-rises.
Amenities, services, policies
Moment will have 9th and 45th floor amenities levels.
The 9th level amenities will be above the parking garage and will include a garden, fitness center, indoor / outdoor spa, resident lounge with demonstration kitchen, game room, media room and community room. A deck on the 9th floor will include cabanas and grilling stations.
The 45th floor roof top deck will include a pool and resident lounge.
Moment is pet-friendly and will feature a dog run and pet spa.
Moment will have 24-hour management and maintenance. The building will have an on-site dry cleaner, bike storage and repair, and package storage. Parking will be available in an on-site garage.
Moment is in the recently-developed southern part of Streeterville, a few blocks north of the Chicago River, midway between Michigan Avenue and Navy Pier.

There is a new Bockwinkel’s a block from the building.
A Target recently opened in October 2015 a block south of Moment.
A Walgreens Pharmacy is a block southwest of Moment.

Dining, nightlife, entertainment.
There are literally 100s of dining and nightlife options within blocks of Moment.
Many of the local restaurants cater heavily to tourists and office workers, but you won’t have any trouble finding a go-back-to neighborhood favorite.
Parks, recreation. Moment has good park access.
Immediately east of Moment is a park that’s actually the roof of a parking garage.
The building is two blocks from Navy Pier, Jane Addams Memorial Park, Ohio Street Beach and the Lakefront Trail. River Esplanade Park, home to Centennial Fountain, is a few blocks south of the building.
Lake Shore Park, which has a running track, softball fields, tennis courts, a playground and a small field house, is a half-mile north. The Museum of Contemporary Art is at the west end of the park and just west of the museum is the delightful, tree-shrouded Seneca Playlot Park.
CTA bus service, via multiple routes, is excellent along Michigan Ave, Illinois St (one-way East-bound) and Grand Ave (one-way West-bound). Many residents of Moment may opt for cabs as their preferred mode of public transit, and cabs are always plentiful in the area.
Moment will have easy access to and from Lake Shore Drive. Reaching I-90/94 and the rest of the city’s expressway grid can often be time-consuming. Expect near-gridlock conditions when there’s a major event in the neighborhood. Lower Wacker Drive provides speedier access to the Eisenhower Expressway.
Rentals are typically available in a number of nearby condo buildings, sometimes at lower rents than in the new apartment buildings.
