$5K discounts for some "everyday heroes"

Take an additional $5,000 off the price of a new home from Town & Country Homes if you hold one of a long list of jobs that qualifies you as an everyday hero.

Teaching assistants qualify, but not nursing assistants – unless they work for a government. Sorry, Chesley Sullenberger, but you don’t make the cut. And you stay-at-home moms and dads can forget it too. Maybe – I’d bet that anyone willing to sign a contract instantly becomes an everyday hero.
