73 East Lake tops out in the Loop

by Joe Zekas on 8/14/13

The 332-unit, 42-story apartment tower at 73 E Lake St in the Loop has topped out at a height that ensures some striking views from the upper floors.

A web page for the building is predicting “spring 2014″ occupancy. Bear in mind that the last day of spring next year is June 20.

Half a dozen new buildings are slated to open more than 2,000 new apartments in the downtown Chicago market next year, on top of the more than 3,000 units being added this year. You can track all of them at our at-a-glance list of new downtown apartments.

Be sure to check back with YoChicago frequently for original photographic coverage that you won’t find anywhere else of new projects.
