Renting above Chicago bars: unit open at The Vu

For hardcore club-goers in the rental market, an apartment is available above Deja Vu in Lincoln Park. It’s an attractive Victorian building, with tasteful purple and green trim, and you can’t beat the convenience of stumbling upstairs after last call. Keep in mind, however, that last call at Deja Vu is probably about 3:30 a.m., since the bar closes at 4 a.m. Also keep in mind that DJs spin music upstairs at “The Vu” on Friday and Saturday nights.

A friend who once lived above a bar said he couldn’t hear any noise, but that was a place with pool tables and dart boards, not a dance floor. Deja Vu at least has a sign outside in an effort to calm drunken debauchery. Assuming patrons can read it as they leave.
