Searched for: "lofts at Lakeview collection"
The Roscoe View Journal reported yesterday that Target may be purchasing the site that was once targeted for the Lakeview Collection, a 6-story mixed-use development of loft condos and retail. We’ve written often about the Lakeview Collection since it was announced half a dozen years ago, but it dropped off our radar after our retrospective ...

So why would Wachovia Bank file a suit against Centrum Properties partners John McLinden, Sol Barket, and Arthur Slaven, their Lakeview Collection LLC, Chicago Title Insurance, the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cook County, and the Illinois State Treasurer, in the Chancery Division of the Cook County Circuit Court? I can’t say — county offices were closed ...

The site of Centrum Properties‘ Lofts at Lakeview Collection continues to collect dust, but several signs still advertise the apartments and the David Barton Gym, Starbucks Coffee, and LaSalle Bank (yeah, they’re that out of date) that the development was going to bring to the intersection of Belmont, Lincoln, and Ashland avenues.

Crain’s confirms today what we were starting to hear ourselves: Centrum Properties has scrapped plans for The St Clair, the second tower of the proposed three-tower Cityfront Plaza development in Streeterville. Looks like I wasn’t the only one calling around about the Lofts at Lakeview Collection. Crain’s reports this morning that Centrum Properties will turn the condos at Belmont, Ashland and Lincoln avenues into luxury apartments. “The reason for the change is obvious — the condo market is soft and the luxury rental market for an ...

Another day, another wrinkle. Things just get curiouser and curiouser, Yo reader. One day after sales manager Carrie McCormick said that Centrum Properties had canceled the Lofts at Lakeview Collection, project manager Nick Stocking insisted that Centrum is moving forward with the project, just at a date later than originally anticipated. “It hasn’t been canceled,” ...

Not too long ago, a Yo reader used our tip line to request an update on three North Side loft projects. I’m still tracking down info on two of those developments, but I finally got someone to confirm that the Lofts at Lakeview Collection has bitten the dust. The project’s former sales manager, Carrie McCormick, ...

The intersection of Belmont, Lincoln and Ashland avenues, three major arteries, might not seem like an appealing spot for a new condo. Although a Whole Foods, at 3300 N. Ashland Ave., is a bona fide amenity, several big bank buildings make the corner feel solidly commercial. But head a block in any direction, and the ...
