Chicago, Webster and Damen

Does anyone know the current status of this boarded-up bust-out at Damen and Webster, in Bucktown?

I used to live in a new building just north of the Kennedy from here (2348 N Lister) and walk past this building every day on my way to work. There seemed to be people going in and out of this building on a daily basis and there was progress made, but it doesn’t appear to have made that final push into ready-to-go-to-market. They used to keep attack dogs in the building at night to keep people out, which you could hear as you walked by. So while I don’t have an official answer to your question, my observation (until I moved out in Aug) is that progress is being made… slowly.

Another brick and block piece of junk busted condo project from Prime Properties. Now going rental. At least this real estate downturn will flush these half ass developers out of the market and allow enthusiasts of RE development build in the beautiful hood of Bucktown and wicker park.
