A brief visit to Winnemac Park

After stopping at a Saturday morning open house I headed a block east to Winnemac Park, a site I hadn’t visited in years.

Even on a cool overcast day the park’s play areas were filled with little kids racing around, sliding, climbing — and pleading for their parents to buy ice cream from a pushcart vendor.

One of the park’s neighbors was kind enough to take some time to tell me about the beautiful, refurbished 40-acre park.
