A look inside the West Loop’s new Circa 922

I stopped by yesterday for a brief look inside Circa 922, a new 104-unit, 11-story luxury boutique apartment building at 922 W Washington in the West Loop.

The whimsical sculpture in the elevator lobby is a subtle reminder of the West Loop’s industrial and warehousing past.

Most of Circa 922’s amenities are on the first floor and have floor-to-ceiling windows that visually enlarge them with views of the century-old brick buildings across the street.

The amenities at Circa 922 will be shared with the 45 loft apartments at 123 N Sangamon. A ramp promenade descends from the height of the loft building to ground level at the new building and provides a sense of arrival.

Coffee service is available at a bar in the resident lounge.

The fitness room has both strength-training and cardio equipment.

There’s a media room with a large flat-screen TV and individual seating.

Work was underway on the business center behind the wood screen.

There’s a bar area adjacent to the 4th-floor pool deck, which was covered in snow. The view shot from the pool deck is from an earlier visit.

The building also has a rooftop sundeck with sweeping views of the skyline.

Circa 922 is a smoke-free, pet-friendly community. The studio to 3-bedroom apartments have high ceilings, views, upscale finishes, private balconies and an in-unit washer / dryer.

Circa 922 is reportedly nearly two-thirds leased. Near real-time info about rents and available units can be accessed online. The first residents recently moved in. Units are available for immediate occupancy and deferred occupancy as late as April on the higher floors.

Note: Circa 922 is a YoChicago advertiser.
