On January 16, dozens of excited renters queued up for small-group hardhat tours of Halsted Flats, a new luxury apartment high-rise at 3740 N Halsted in Lakeview. Hardhat tours will continue every Thursday until the building opens in mid-March.
Don and David Sikora, father and son, shared their take on the community after the tour. Don’s a retired elevator mechanic. David lives in the neighborhood and owns Progress Bar, a large, visually electrifying new bar just down the street from Halsted Flats in Boystown.
