A roadmap to the Chicago homes market

Michael Hart’s presentation to the Chicago Association of Realtors during last week’s 2010 Economic Forecast panel was heavy on slides and charts, none of which you will see in the video above. Pay no mind to that, though — if you listen to what the Hanley Wood Market Intelligence regional manager has to say, you can pick up a lot of interesting information about the state of the housing market in the Chicago metro area. Here, he plots out a “roadmap” of the market by looking at changes in consumer confidence, unemployment, population growth, housing permits, new home sales, and other factors.
