A video tour of 2523 North Southport

by Jeremy Schnitker on 6/16/09

I got to tour four homes in the new six-unit development at 2523 N Southport Ave in Lincoln Park this Sunday with Conlon Real Estate’s Jason Mrozik. The development, which was completed this spring by developers Pat O’Donnell and Pat Gibbons, is listed by Conlon agent Rich Kasper.

The development comprises two 2,500 square-foot three-bedroom / 2.5-bath duplex-downs and four 1,250 square-foot two-bedroom / two-bath single-floor units. The duplexes are both priced in the $770s, while the second-floor units are priced from the $490s to $510s and the top-floor units in the $590s.

One of the biggest draws of this development, as you can see towards the end of the video, are the private rooftop decks that come with the top-floor units, one of which Mrozik says has a pending contract.

Sorry this comment is not about this post, but I didn’t know where else to ask the question.

Does anyone know what is under construction on the 800 block of Addison, just west of the police station? Looks pretty big.

Also does anyone know why the Loop Kennedy exit ramps are closed? Or I guess what the construction is supposed to accomplish? They all seem to be in good shape. I know its a stimulus project, but it seems like there is no work to be done there.
