A walk around the Waters School in Ravenswood Gardens

by Joe Zekas on 6/6/09

If “concrete jungle” is your notion of the grounds of a Chicago Public School, you’ll be surprised by this Pre-K -8 school on Chicago’s near Northwest Side.

Our tour guide, Chris Moran of Sudler Sotheby’s, is a 22-year resident of the area and, as you’ll see, a fan of the school and its extensive gardens.

In part two of our walk around the school we look at some of the more rustic gardens at the south end of the school grounds. We’ll post more from Ravenswood Gardens over the next few days.

Good lookin’ school. I wish the ones I went to looked that nice. Mine were more of the grey cracked asphalt, weeds and broken glass variety.
