Saturday was a great day for a bike ride, so I pedaled up Milwaukee Avenue from Bucktown through Logan Square, Avondale, and Irving Park, eventually making my way to the Portage Park neighborhood on the far Northwest Side. I made my way to the neighborhood’s namesake, the 36-acre Portage Park, bounded by Irving Park Road and Central, Berteau, and Long avenues, and turned on my camera to shoot everything I saw.
