215 West, one of the new kids in downtown’s rental scene, was still a work in progress when Joe and I visited in March, with no furnished models to speak of and everything beyond the 21st floor closed to visitors.
Three months is a long time when you’re talking about interior finishes, though, so another visit is in order, if only to see “a space that truly exemplifies the high level of luxury and environmental consciousness” — 215 West’s amenity level, which opened this week. The 14th floor is packed with fitness club, steam and massage rooms, an outdoor sundeck with pool, a media room / theater, a business center, a clubroom, and a variety of other rooms and lounges. The 50-story high-rise at 215 W Washington St in the Loop comprises 389 studios through three-bedrooms, priced from $1,258 to $4,567 a month.
