An updated look down on Chicago and LaSalle

It’s been six weeks since we last looked in on the site of a new 33-story, 295-unit apartment tower planned for the northeast corner of Chicago and LaSalle. At that time demolition was underway and expected to be completed within a day or two.

When I looked down on the site yesterday from the sundeck of a neighboring building the site had been cleared and no further work was underway. The Chicago Building Permits site has no record of permits being issued for further work.

Antunovich Associates is the architect of record, in collaboration with Berkelhamer Architects. You can see renderings of the new apartment tower at Berkelhamer’s site.

You can see all of the new high-rises that have been proposed or started at our list of new downtown apartment projects.
