Architect Magazine features new South Loop condos

1345 Wabash, the first new condo high-rise built in Chicago in the past half-dozen years, was designed by the award-winning firm of Brininstool + Lynch. CMK Companies, the developer of 1345, is one of Chicago’s leading real estate firms and has a strong track record of building architecturally-distinctive, value-driven communities in prime locations.

According to Architect Magazine:

Even within the consistently minimal Modernism of partners David Brininstool, AIA, and Brad Lynch, 1345 stands out for its starkly simple composition.

The architects riff on several Chicago predecessors: The horizontals are reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright while the simple articulation of the façade is more Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. But the mid-block, infill site is more typical of Manhattan than Chicago, a sign that this next generation of towers is less about freestanding structures and more about responding to specific urban conditions.

One-bedrooms at 1345 Wabash currently start at $233,900 and two-bedrooms at $297,900. The homes are move-in ready.

1345 Wabash has a stellar, pedestrian-friendly South Loop location, with destination restaurants on the same block and scores more within a few minutes’ walk. The CTA transit hub at Roosevelt Road, Jewel-Osco and Trader Joe’s are just over a block north.

The 1345 Wabash sales center is open on-site, and furnished models are available for viewing.
