Logan Square is beautiful and gentrification is not a bad thing. As long as prices do not force long time hard working taxpayers out of the neighborhood. To help both sides, long time good residents should be helped, maybe through fundraisers in the neighborhood. I live in Roscoe Village and the prices are extreme and hard to afford but everything is maintained and it's safer; by safer I do not mean less of any race but less gang activity and violent crime. Maybe stricter penalties on crime pertaining to drugdealing, theft and gangbanging should manifest to deal with these issues. After all, it's not hardworking families that harm neighborhoods, it is usually juveniles within that family and they need more support from community so they (young people) can have more options and not have to go to prison.
