Attention real estate data junkies

For most people, the decision to buy a home is driven by the need for a larger or smaller home, a desire to move to a different neighborhood, pressure from family members and many other personal and practical considerations.

There’s a small minority of buyers who consider a home purchase to be first, last and foremost an investment. Some of those buyers are always on the lookout for data sources and market expertise to help guide their decisions.

There are, of course, people who simply have a personal or professional interest in being as well-informed as possible about conditions in the housing markets.

For the real estate data junkies among us, CoreLogic has just launched Insights, “a new blog that provides expanded perspective on residential property and market data, analysis and trends.”

Some of my favorite real estate data reads are Calculated Risk and The Wall Street Journal Developments blog.
