Bidders for Children’s site make their final pitch

The Sun-Times’ David Roeder is reporting that the three development teams remaining in the bidding for the Children’s Memorial Hospital site made their final pitches to hospital directors today.

According to Roeder’s report, a joint venture of Magellan Development and Hines Interests is out of the bidding. The remaining contenders are McCaffery Interests, Related Midwest, and a group led by Belgravia Group‘s Buzz Ruttenberg and former John Buck Company partner Greg Merdinger.

Late last year we met with Jon McCulloch of Belgravia to learn more about the site’s potential and the challenges any team will face in redeveloping the property.
