Blue-blooded Lincoln Park loft development 60 percent sold

Ashton Lofts rendering2.jpgThere’s nothing particularly regal-looking about Ashton Lofts, 1610 W Fullerton Ave, in Lincoln Park, but there’s honest-to-goodness royalty behind the project. The founder of Ashton’s development company, Premiere Midwest Developers (formerly known as Winiki Management Corp.), is Teira Charles Louis Hirshon, descendant of King Karika Tara Apeapea Ariki of The Royal House of Makea Karika Ariki on Rarotonga, one of the Cook Islands.

The American-French-Polynesian developer was born in Tahiti and has developed several projects in French Polynesia as well as having a hand in Skytech Lofts, Park 1500 Lofts and Film Exchange Lofts in Chicago.

We were expecting the list of amenities at Ashton Lofts to include tiki-torch-lit luau space and in-house palm-frond massages, but they’re actually pretty standard – exposed ductwork, concrete ceilings and hardwood floors. Units will also have private balconies or terraces, and the ground floor has 4,000 square feet of commercial space.

The 39 new-construction loft-style condos have one to three bedrooms, some with dens, and the development is 60 percent sold. Prices start in the $310s for one-bedroom one-bathroom units, and prices include parking. Construction is underway, and sales agents at New West Realty expects first delivery near the end of August.
