Bridgeport’s “island” on the Chicago River

by Erik Stonikas on 10/20/09

Continuing our drive through a rainy, October day in Bridgeport, Nicole Pusateri, broker / owner of Bricks Realty, takes me to an area she likes to call “Bridgeport’s Island.” Joe explains that it’s the oldest part of the neighborhood, surrounded by the looping Chicago River and the Stevenson Expressway.

We pass the aptly named River Homes development, where three-bedroom / 2.5-bath townhomes are listed in the $420s. According to Nicole, two units are under contract.
