“What’s the % sold in this building?” a reader asked via e-mail last week? The building in question was Avenue East, Residential Homes of America‘s 133-unit high-rise at 160 E Illinois St in Streeterville.
The answer, reader, is 94 percent. According to Equity Marketing Services, eight unsold, unused homes are still available in the tower — one east-facing two-bedroom / two-bath with approximately 1,100 square feet, priced in the $480s, and seven 1,7oo square-foot two-bedroom / 2.5-baths with dens, starting in the $690s.
The 10 resales currently listed at Avenue East range from the $340s for a 772 square-foot one-bedroom (one of the building’s two short sales) to the $720s for one of those 1,700 square-foot two-bedroom-plus-dens.
Assessments for these new units and resales run anywhere from $280 to $1,052 a month, according to their individual listings.
Five condos are also listed for rent: one one-bedroom / one-bath available for $1,600 a month, and four two-bedroom / two-baths available from $2,495 to $2,900.
