Checking in: Glanville wants an offer in Bucktown

2043 W McLean Ave, Chicago, photo from VHTA few months ago I pointed readers to a Bucktown single-family that former Cub and current ESPN analyst Doug Glanville was trying to sell for $899,000, $79,000 less than what he paid for it in 2006. Since that time, he’s cut the price three times, and is now hoping to get $785,000 for the home. According to the listing from Realtor Izetta Carroll, “the seller understands the market and says, ‘BRING US AN OFFER!'”

The 3,820 square-foot, four-bedroom / 3.5-bath home at 2043 W McLean Ave was built in 2001 and features a kitchen with granite countertops, 42-inch cabinets, and Bosch appliances, a lower-level media / family room that opens to brick paver patio; wrought iron scroll railings; surround sound; a wet bar; a two-tiered deck; a two-car garage; and a sprinkler system. 2008 taxes are $13,439 with a homeowner exemption.
