Checking out a one-bedroom apartment in Streeterville

I stopped by Streeter Place yesterday, for my first look at the model apartments. Streeter Place is a 54-story, 480-unit full-amenity apartment tower at 355 E Ohio St in Streeterville. It was completed in 2009.

The “I” model is an east-facing one-bedroom that spans 846 square feet.

The model was furnished in a minimalist style that puts the focus on the wood-look floors and draws attention to the space-expanding floor-to-ceiling windows that look out over an adjacent park toward Lake Michigan.

The apartment has a spacious bath, and an oversized vanity with drawers for storage.

The bedroom is large enough to accommodate a seating area or a desk for a home office.

The full-size in-unit washer / dryer is conveniently located adjacent to the bedroom.

Available “I” apartments rent from $2,096 to $2,742. Other one-bedrooms range in price from $2,036 to $3,569. Apartments in the building range from studios to three-bedroom, two-baths.

Streeter Place is currently offering a discount of $1,000 on the first month’s rent for studio, convertible and one-bedroom apartments, and $1,500 for two-bedrooms. To qualify, a renter must complete an application within 24 hours of their first visit.

Streeter Place is close to the lake and Magnificent Mile shops, to grocery shopping, and to a wide array of restaurants, bars, parks and cultural attractions.

Streeter Place is also a short walk from Northwestern University’s downtown campus and the Northwestern hospitals. Streeter Place credits its $400 admin fee toward the first month’s rent for Northwestern employees pursuant to its Preferred Employer Program.

Note: Streeter Place is a YoChicago advertiser.
