City sales volume and median selling prices are down across a wide swath of neighborhoods, second-quarter sales data show.
Citywide, condominium sales volume was 21% below the same period last year, and it was lower in 18 of the 20 neighborhoods I track. Single family sales volume was lower than in 2Q 2010 in 15 of 20 neighborhoods.
Median selling prices of condominiums citywide were down 16% from 2Q 2010, a decline seen in 13 of 20 neighborhoods (two more had less than a 1% increase). For single family homes, the median price in the city was 6% below the same figure a year ago. Again, 13 of 20 neighborhoods saw a decline over a year ago.
