Chicago open house: 565 Quincy and a free breakfast

565 QuincyBelgravia Group is offering $1,000 toward upgrades or closing costs on one- and two-bedroom condos at its converted loft / new-construction hybrid, 565 Quincy (where a bowling alley is among the amenities). We’ve had some interesting discussions previously about Pappageorge / Haymes’ eclectic design for 565 Quincy, but we’d like to hear further critiques of the project. But more importantly, Belgravia is offering a free breakfast at Lou Mitchell’s for anyone who brings its RedEye ad along to the sales center at Jefferson and Quincy streets. The sales center is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm.Belgravia also is previewing 35 three- and four-bedroom townhomes at Union Row, on 16th Street near the I-90 / 94. The Web site says the townhomes are priced from the high-$400s but it seems that the sales price is rising before they’ve even hit the market. An advertisement today lists the opening price as the low-$500s while top-of-the-line homes are priced up to the mid-$600s.
