Child development center near Lexington Square earns national accreditation

Bridgeport Child Development Center II, ChicagoBridgeport Child Development Center II has earned accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the nation’s leading organization of early childhood professionals, according to One Hope United’s blog.

The center, which offers Head Start and preschool programs for children ages 2 to 5, “went through an extensive self-study process, measuring the program and its services against the ten NAEYC Early Childhood Program Standards and more than 400 related Accreditation Criteria” over a five-year period, the blog says. Approximately eight percent of all preschools and other early childhood programs in the nation have received NAEYC accreditation.

Bridgeport Child Development Center II is located at 514 W 31st St, just a four-minute drive north and east of Lexington Homes‘ new Lexington Square rowhomes near the intersection of 37th and Sangamon streets.
