Closings begin at One Museum Park West

The Museum Park sales staff notified me this afternoon that a few homes closed last week at One Museum Park West, 1201 S Prairie Ave, and more will close starting in early January.

I was in the South Loop this afternoon and noticed that from the west, you can hardly tell there are two buildings at all. Look at them from the southwest, and they look like a single bundle of several slender towers, arranged by height to stair-step their way down to the ground.

Construction at One Museum Park West will continue well on into 2010. Even after it ends, The Enterprise Companies and Coldwell Banker will have their hands full with unsold homes: 103 of the tower’s 298 homes are still listed for sale, including 40 three-bedrooms priced between $1.06 million and $2.14 million and 28 two-bedrooms priced from $1 million to $1.24 million. The least expensive home listed at One Museum Park West is unit #1806, a one-bedroom / two-bath with 1,207 square feet, priced in the $480s.

That shot from the west is really nice.

I think these towers are very aesthetically impressive. With so much supply in the buildings and the south loop overall, they have their hands full. Being in the best sector of the South Loop should help.
