Community open house for Lathrop Homes plans

by Joe Zekas on 11/14/12

Plans continue to move forward for the redevelopment of the 920-unit Lathrop Homes, a Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) project that has been largely vacant for several years.

Diversey Pkwy neatly bisects the 37-acre Costco-adjacent development site, which lies at the far northwest corner of Lincoln Park and the southwest corner of North Center and is bordered on the west by the Chicago River.

Lathrop Community Partners, a consortium of developers, will be holding community open houses on November 15 and 17 to “present three dynamic site plan concepts that promote sustainability, connectivity, and affordability.” See the details in this buzzword-brimming notice.
