On Friday I found myself on Wells Street in the Loop, starting my hike back toward the Yo offices in River North, when I happened upon the construction site above. The Solomon Cordwell Buenz-designed high-rise going up at 210 N Wells St will have 330 apartments and 550 parking spaces when complete, according to a Crain’s article from 2008 (one of the few news reports I can find about the development).
Further north, EnV at 161 W Kinzie St (the southeast corner of Kinzie and Wells) continues to take shape, with blue glass reaching up past the its midsection. The 249-apartment tower should be ready for occupancy sometime this spring.
