We told you about Magnolia Court, located at 5653 N Magnolia Ave in the Magnolia Glen section of Edgewater, about a month ago, and readers commented that prices from the $80s to the $210s were nice for gut-rehabbed condos, but the location was questionable. The courtyard building sits where Hollywood Avenue slopes into Ridge Avenue. It’d be a bit noisy, sure, but any worse than having an el track outside your rear window?
The building’s 32 condos are in the throes of an extensive rehab (see more inside) and will have new oak floors, walls, maple cabinets, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, marble bathrooms, steel balconies and exposed brick. The building is getting a new roof, new windows, and new HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
