Courts of Evanston 50% sold

Dubin Residential has passed the 50 percent mark in sales at the Courts of Evanston, a large new development of townhouses in the built-up suburb that borders Chicago on the north.
“The Courts of Evanston is ideal for buyers who want to live in a city atmosphere, but do not want to sacrifice living space,” said Mike Kelahan, director of sales and marketing for Dubin. “Our floor plans are larger than a typical townhome, and in fact, many of our residents are move-up buyers from condos and smaller townhomes. Right now, buyers can choose from all of our plans since we are in a new phase of sales. And with construction underway, they can move in by summer 2004.”

The development, at Chicago Avenue and South Boulevard, has three-story units with two to four bedrooms, two to 3.5 baths and attached two-car garages. Eight floor plans range from 2,200 to 4,110 square feet, base-priced from $389,900 to the $730s.

The Courts of Evanston includes five buildings, each with 18 townhouses, separated by landscaped courtyards. Architects Hartshorne & Plunkard designed the units with outdoor space on three levels – a yard off the family room, a balcony off the second-floor kitchen and a rooftop deck with views of the Chicago skyline.

Finishes include hardwood floors, fireplaces, granite countertops and a full appliance package. A sales center is open on site, at 517 South Boulevard, in Evanston.
