As the first new full-amenity rental high-rise in Lakeview in decades, the 269-unit Halsted Flats has been generating a lot of excitement.
“We’ve only been open less than two months and we’re nearly 50% rented,” reports Leasing Manager Obaid Khan. “People are awed by the building but fearful that there’ll be nothing available when their current leases expire in August. We decided to make a limited number of 1- and 2-bedroom apartments available for move-ins as late as September 7 to people who sign a lease now.”
“We’ve listened to people’s wishes and decided they must be obeyed,” said Obaid with a twinkle in his eye.
Halsted Flats is also crediting the standard move-in fee to the first month’s rent on 1- and 2-bedroom apartments, a $400 savings.
The luxury tower has a full suite of amenities, including a large landscaped pool terrace with a hot tub, cabanas, grills and seating areas. There’s a fitness center adjacent to the deck with cardio and free weight equipment, space for stretching exercises, and a separate terrace overlooking Halsted St.
Also adjacent to the deck are a club room and business center and a demonstration kitchen / party room.
The building is pet-friendly and a landscaped dog run on the 13th floor roof of the building’s west wing has sweeping views of the skyline and views over Wrigley Field.
Halsted Flats, 3740 N Halsted St, is hosting an open house from 10 until 3 on Saturday, May 10.
