In my life, I have grown to experience the most beautiful city in the country. I feel a great appreciation and love for a city I once called home. To me, the city of Chicago has seen me transform from a snott nose hispanic boy living in Melrose park, all the way to a man. My enlistment in the the military occured in Chicago, from elementary school to College, from my first love, and my first driving lessons, Till the day I moved to Texas, CULTURE SHOCK...I really mist the great barrios of Chicago, the celebration that are always fun, like the St. PATRICKS Parade, the Puerto Rican parade, the Taste of Chicago, which ment Summer is here. The people that makes the City What it is, "A great City" the Winters on Michigan Avenue, Specially doring the Holidays, The restaurants and Maxwell street, and the Architecture, "Wow" I guess that was my biggest influence in becoming an Architect.... Chicago, "MY KIND OF TOWN" "SWEET HOME, CHICAGO!!!!!!!!!SAY NO TO DRUGS!!!!!

It was great reading about my old neighborhood, where I lived in the 50s and 60s. It was predominantly Jewish then and the last time I visited I was amazed and pleased by the diversity of people, shops and restaurants. I now live in a small town in western NY and it was exciting to read about West Rogers Park.
