EnV gets a better Web site, too

Not to be left out of the mix, The Lynd Company has assembled a lot of new information for EnV, 161 W Kinzie St, in advance of the tower’s opening in 2010.

The site is still a work-in-progress — the “Residents” page, not surprisingly, is empty, and the “City Views” image gallery contains just three stock photos of Chicago, none shot from EnV’s vantage point in River North — but it does offer pricing info and samples of day and night views from each unit alongside each floor plan, and its Google Map of River North stores and restaurants shows promise.

The site even has a full page devoted to the tower’s retail levels, with descriptions and renderings of these spaces. Most development Web sites focus on residences only, and make mention of retail options only in passing, if at all. This stuff isn’t here for the resident’s benefit — Lynd surely wants retailers to be combing through these demographics stats and marketing brochures — but as a renter, I certainly would like to know which and how many businesses my building might attract.

I’ll have to spend some time with the site before I can put together a full rundown of prices and amenities, but look for a spreadsheet sometime in the near future.
