Five years ago today was Prairie District Day

by Joe Zekas on 4/20/12

On April 20, 2007 YoChicago featured the South Loop’s Prairie District.

Developers Jerry Karlik and Keith Giles gave us an overview of their ill-fated X/O Condominiums and its architecture:

Tina Feldstein, then President of the Prairie District Neighborhood Alliance, talked to us about the history of the area:

Developer Robbie Frankel showed us around Lakeside Lofts:

We visited a resale unit at the Prairie District Townhomes:

We walked the Prairie Avenue Historic District and brought back photos to show how the old and new were coexisting, and paused for a closer look at the Glessner and Clarke houses.

On Prairie District Day other media offered updates on the Chicago Spire and plans for the Old Main Post Office.
