Frank Lloyd Wright housewalk in OP-RF

That’s right, it’s time again for the Wright Plus benefit housewalk in Oak Park and River Forest. The 32nd annual walk is May 20, and features rare interior tours of significant homes designed by Prairie School master Frank Lloyd Wright and his homies.

Homes on the tour open at 9 a.m., and remain open until 5 p.m. As fascinating as they are, however, they are not handicapped accessible, so while it appears that God was in the details for Wright, the Americans with Disabilities Act was not. They were private residences, after all. And the ADA did not exist. So, okay, we can cut him some slack.

As a bonus, those very same Wright Plus tickets that get you into the historical houses in Oak Park and River Forest also get you into the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio, the Frederick C. Robie House, and the Unity Temple through the end of the year.

Tickets are $85, and can be purchased online or by calling 708-848-9518.
