Free parking, upgrades at the Royalle

Metropolitan Development Enterprises is offering buyers at the Royalle, a new condo building underway in River North, free parking or $5,000 worth of free upgrades on select homes this summer.
Three of the 12 remaining homes offer free parking, valued at $35,500 per spot, and eight other units are offering a $5,000 upgrade package for free. The upgrades are for a premium washer and dryer, a granite fireplace shelf and the conversion of a den into a bedroom with French doors. Buyers also can opt for a $5,000 credit toward parking in lieu of the free upgrades at the Royalle, 744 N. Clark.

The $5,000 in extras goes a long way, according to Bruce Zimmerman, vice president of sales and marketing for Metropolitan, because the units include a high level of standard finishes.

“Buyers at the Royalle make very few upgrades because everything is included, but some homeowners have requested these three items to personalize their homes,” Zimmerman said.

The 10-story building designed by architects Pappageorge Haymes includes 40 units priced from the $330s to the $490s. The condos have around 1,078 to 1,428 square feet, two bedrooms and one to two baths. Features include cherry cabinets, stainless steel appliances, granite counters, hardwood floors, private balconies, nine-foot ceilings, gas fireplaces and marble master baths with Whirlpool tubs.

Units at the Royalle, www.TheRoyalle.com, can be delivered within 30 days and a sales center is open on site, at 744 N. Clark.
