Five years ago when we focused on a 4-bedroom, 3 ½ bath home proposed for 1842 N Wood St in Bucktown it was offered for sale at $2,075,000. Renderings of the home showed its façade in a variety of colors, although white was the intended finish.
The 4,000 square foot home was designed by Funke Architects, who described it as “a long rectangular volume extruded across the site and carved into at its sides. With the careful cutting away at the exterior combined with an open floor plan, the spatial experience is one of fluidity.”
The pricing experience was also one of fluidity: the home eventually sold in January of 2010 for $1,300,000.
