Renegade Craft Fair takes place this weekend and happens to be one of my favorite activities of Chicago summer. On Division Street between Damen Avenue and Paulina Street, the border between Wicker Park and East Village, local artists and artisans will set up under tents to sell their handmade goods — clothes, gadgets, accessories, posters, what-have-you. It’s free and there’s going to be live music, food (including all the local eateries), and the weather will be perfect. If you’ve never gone, you won’t regret trying it out this weekend.
It might also be a good excuse to pass by some new homes in the area. Construction on Division Street has died down over the past year, but there are still a couple of developments right off the street with homes for sale. Koenig & Strey is listing four two- and three-bedroom condos at 1919 West Crystal (above) from the $560s to $660s. Conlon Real Estate is listing three two- and three-bedroom homes at 1109 N Hermitage Ave from the $390s to the $570s.
