Going up: Trump’s ‘best tier’ back at a $1.35M markup

Trump Tower A-tier condo, ChicagoChezi Rafaeli of Coldwell Banker says the A-tier units of Trump‘s 41st through 49th floors are the best in the building, so popular with early pre-construction buyers that they sold out within a day of hitting the market. One of those nine units, 48A, closed in October 2008 for $2.15 million; yesterday, Rafaeli listed it for $3.5 million, making it the most expensive condo currently listed in the high-rise.

The 3,948 square-foot, three-bedroom / 4.5-bath home has been completely upgraded from its original finishes, and features three fireplaces, custom lighting, and surround sound. Views from the unit arc from the northwest across to the north, northeast, and east. Monthly assessments are $2,495.

The highest unit in the tier, 49A, has been listed since last June. It’s currently priced at $3.39 million.
