Many who’ve passed on life on the Gold Coast may take up residence there after they’ve passed on, if a local architect’s proposal for the Three Arts Club doesn’t go down in flames.
Is this a deadpan publicity stunt? A fired-up negotiating ploy? The property’s highest and best use, urnings-wise?

More seriously. I remember when, after a years-long zoning battle, developer Herb Rosenthal (a former legal client) proposed building a high-rise mausoleum in the 1400 block of Lake Shore Drive.
The locals backed off and allowed Herb to build his high-rise condos, recognizing that he was unhinged-enough to build the alternative. Perhaps this group pirated the idea from Herb.
