Balcony railings at two River North high-rises

In their design, The Gammonley Group‘s 757 Orleans @ Chicago (at left) and JFJ Development‘s Superior 110 (at right) couldn’t be more different. Superior 110, located at 110 W Superior St, is tall and slender, and the texture and color of that deep blue glass reminds me of a LEGO set I had when I was a kid. (A touch of yellow to that construction worker on the roof would complete the image.) In contrast, 757 Orleans @ Chicago, located at 757 N Orleans St, is boxier and less flashy, with lighter colors and graph-paper design on the parking structure.

We’ve been watching from the Yo headquarters as construction wraps on these two River North high-rises, and balcony railings are currently being added to each. Despite the towers’ differences, their railings actually look pretty similar, as both have thick white bars with glass panes fastened to them.

At last check, about half of the 198 homes at 757 Orleans @ Chicago were still available at prices ranging from the $240s to the $700s, and the 13 remaining homes at Superior 110 were priced from the $540s to $1.6 million. Models should open soon in both buildings.
