Lexington Park tower reaches full height

Lexington Park Condominiums at 2138 S Indiana Ave in the South Loop, Chicago

It looks like the 35-story high-rise portion of the Chieftain Group‘s Lexington Park Condominiums has been topped off at 2138 S Indiana Ave in the South Loop. I wouldn’t have been able to tell, were it not for those ornamental beams that extend from the roof, which hadn’t been there when I photographed the construction site in September.

rendering of Lexington Park CondominiumsAlthough all 35 floors are in place, it looks like there’s still plenty of work to be done on both the tower and the mid-rise loft building, which is located at right in the photo above. Back in June, Britta Rivera, the Chieftain Group’s vice president of sales, told me that deliveries wouldn’t begin until February or March of 2009.

One- and two-bedroom condos in the tower with 656 to 1,346 square feet of living space are priced from the $230s to the $410s, and 1,068 to 1,645 square-foot condo lofts are priced from the $480s to the $720s. According to a sponsored article by Dan Schuyler that will appear the winter issue of New Homes, Chieftain Group is running an incentive that involves a discount of $10,000 off the purchase price of a loft condo, and parking is currently offered for $17,450, which is half of the $34,900 that is normally charged for a space in the garage.
