Highland Park luxury at $600K below 2006 asking price

by Joe Zekas on 3/21/12

The 7,500 square foot 5-bedroom home with 5 full and 2 half baths on an acre at 3434 Old Mill Rd in Highland Park recently came on the market at an asking price of $1,592,000.

The home was offered for sale for $2,200,000 back in July of 2006 when we shot the above picture, and it’s been on and off the market since then.

Check out the current issue of Chicago Magazine, which takes a brief look at the dining, shopping and entertainment scene in Highland Park if you’re unfamiliar with the community.

The article begins with the obligatory reference to the Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan’s having taken up residence in Highland Park and opened a tea house.

Hi,
I’m from Highland Park and do business there on occasion. The location of this house is not highly desired. Right off the highway.

Beautiful home and good price now. It will sell
